Fairly entertaining about messed up relationships movie.
One of the best movies I have seen in the past little while! Not a fan of Steve Carell, but he was great in this role!
This movie was really cute! Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling made a funny pair.
such a cute movie!
Very enjoyable DVD.Nice story line and comedy.
Steve Carrell is unfortunately repeatedly typecast as a bumbling, dorky, albeit lovable, "Michael Scott" character, as is the case here. Nothing new. And I did not find pretty boy Ryan Gosling's shallow, womanizing character's 'middle-aged guy' bashing funny whatsoever, nor do I have any interest in seeing him shirtless. I'm also tired of movies where the 13 year old teaches the adults what to do and how to behave. "Crazy, Stupid, Love"? More like "Crappy, Stupid, Movie".
For me, some actors will always be "just" TV actors and I'm afraid Steve Carell is one of them. This movie is obviously a vanity production (he is credited as producer) intended to move him further along the Hollywood food chain. As such, it's not bad, since he surrounded himself with top-notch supporting players like Marisa Tomei and Julienne Moore and Kevin Bacon. His best scenes are with Ryan Gosling and here he is out of his league. Gosling just has too much charisma and acting chops and demonstrates that People Magazine picked the wrong Ryan when they chose Ryan Reynolds over him as the sexiest man alive that year. Maybe Greg Kinnear, another TV actor, could have pulled it off better. As is, it's easy to see why Julianne Moore wants a divorce. What took her so long?
this movie was really funny, and the end came together nicely
I wasnt sure what to expect from this movie but it turned out really good! It was a bit of a downer in the beginning, but to see the roles evolve turned out great.
