This is a sequel the The Adoration of Jenna Fox, and follows the two friends, Locke and Tara, who were in the accident with her. Someone made copies of their mind downloads and 260 years later the two have been given new life in new bodies. The doctor who revived them teaches them and prepares them for the world they now live in. But what are his motives, and what isn't he teaching them about their world? When the two escape, their travels eventually lead them to Jenna, and more knowledge about what they've missed in those 260 years. There is much around ethics, social issues, and friendship here. The definition of what makes us human, and what manmade beings are capable of is an underlying, yet ultimately unanswered question. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book, but it was still good.

Not quite as good as the first, but a solid sequel.

What is life? What counts as living? What is human, and what is machine? Where is the line between restoring life and creating it? Where will we, as people, choose to toe the line between medical science capabilites and ethics? All these questions and more in the sequel to the magnificent book, "The Adoration of Jenna Fox." Admittedly, this book is not quite as good as the "Adoration," but the previous book set a tough standard and Pearson's writing has matured. I strongly recommend reading "the Adoration of Jenna Fox," for the sake of understanding half the plot line (especially for ANY sci-fi person, you'll never regret it). For those who HAVE read it, I recommend hunting down a copy of "The Fox Inheritance." It offers insights as to where Jenna went, a new (but slightly less original) plot and more difficult and philosophical questions to answer. Happy Page Turning!

Great squeal to The Adoration of Jenna Fox. It has action and a little mystery as well. :] P.S Not that anyone was asking me in the first place, but I like the first book better

"I apologize for staring back there," she says. "It was rude. I know. I didn't mean to. It's just that-" She looks down. I watch her swallow and then she looks at me again and smiles. Her voice is soft. "It's just that you look like someone I once knew." She clears her throat and adds, "A very long time ago."
