Summary
Add a SummaryI usually judge a book by it's ending. In my opinion the ending is the most important element of a story. What gives you the lasting impression of a book you just read? It's the ending. The feeling of whether your satisfied or you want more or it just wasn't for you or it was perfect or you flat out hated it, really depends on the ending. Going back to my earlier point I have mixed feelings about the ending. I liked Bianca's ending, just not Lucas's. Let's leave it as the ending wasn't for me. The book's pacing at the beginning was also very slow. What I did like is seeing old characters come back. I love a close nit group of friends and family. I also enjoyed reading about some of the new characters introduced such as Christopher and Skye. This series really didn't have much characters compared to others, and I liked that. It gives us more room to get to know the current characters. Lucas and Bianca's relationship grows a great deal in this book, probably the most out of the entire series. We see just how far they are willing to go to stay together and how much they deserve it. I really enjoyed this series and I'm a little sad to see it go. I can't wait to read it - I hope he mets someone in it, he deserves it.
The back: Afterlife marks the riveting conclusion to the love story that began in Evernight. Having become what they feared most, Bianca and Lucas face a terrifying new reality: Lucas is a vampire, and Bianca is a wraith. They've overcome every obstacle life has thrown at them, but is their love strong enough to survive the challenges after life?

I wondered what my parents would say now, and whether there was any advice they could have given us. We'd parted badly before I ran off with Lucas at the beginning of the summer; at the moment, I missed them so much it hurt. What would they think of everything that had happened in the past couple of days? I glanced at Lucas--the pale cool stillness of his flesh, the way that death had brightened his eyes and carved out his cheekbones--and thought beakly,Well, they always wanted me to end up with a nice vampire boy.

Add a Commentive read all the books, but the ending to this one was absolutely beautiful. it made me tear up
This final installment was quiet slow to begin with and I didn't feel so interested in it than I first started reading evernight. Near the last 100 pages things start getting interesting again and it was back to a faster pace. The ending was twisted and seriously I never thought it would end like this. It was an amazing journey knowing the characters, especially the unbreakable love between the two starcrossed lovers. Will definitely miss the series .... and waiting for the next book!!!!!>^_^
I loved this series it is a total must read for anyone who likes supernatural romance!
A beautiful ending to the Evernight series. I remember starting this series out, a bit doubtful with the storyline and plot. Yet this series turned out to be so amazing and unique in its characters as well as its development over an entire series. I think the characters are so memorable and I love their relationships. And the way this book ended was probably the most genius way to end off a great series. Going to miss this <3
The final installment couldn't have ended the series better. It was a perfect ending to the star-crossed romance, the friends and family, and the story. I have loved this series since the first few pages of "Evernight" and I couldn't have asked for a better ending.
i liked the evernight series at the beginning, but the books kept getting slower and uninteresting to the point where i read the first 5 pages and gave up.
i've never read it yet because everyone keeps on checking the book out! i guess it's pretty popular...but yeah, i'll read it. i like how the Evernigth academy is set up, but i'm not too crazy for bianca nor lucas.
I think Claudia did a good job in wrapping up the seires. The whole story was on the slow side. But i think she did some set up for her next series Baltazar. I am looking forward to that series. Anyways the story definately conveys and make you feel as though love conqours all.
I haven't read this (excited to) but I have a feeling that Bianca and Lucas are gonna have a kid. With her being a wraith and him being a vampire, it kinda makes sense.
LOVED IT!! I didn't think there would be another book but sure enough there is! I have to say it wasn't as good as the others, a little "dead", but it was still pretty good. Bianca is a wraith, and Lucas is a vampire. There love is still there but it's different now that they're both dead. Maybe it's just me but it doesn't feel as romantic as before. The two are headed back to Evernight. You finally get to find out about Mrs.Bethany's past, and yes, there is a reason she's letting human students to Evernight. Great series Claudia Gray!
