it was good/ok. but i hate the fact that it's just kinda cliché-ish. and i was lost at some parts cuz i read the first book of this series almost a year ago, lol so if they bring up something that was mentioned in the first book, i don't remeber it.. :\

Such drama and thrill, so gripping and great twists. I got so frustrated when I reached the end and just had to buy the 3rd book immediately. I could not wait to read the end.

I was so sad in the beginning, and it was kind of boring (I was just waiting for when Nora would run into Patch again) and I really felt like knocking some sense into Nora that Patch is the One for her, but it turned out to be a worthwhile read. I finished it in one evening because I had to see how it ended! I was really happy about the end, and I can't wait to read Silence. I hated Patch for a little bit in the beginning, but after Macie left the picture, I got over that. Kind of ironic (I wonder if it will continue in the next book) that Vee has a REALLY bad taste in guys. ;D Can't wait to read the next book!

I didn't like this one as much as the first one. Not as many twists and alot less action then Hush Hush but still worth reading. I look forward to reading the next one!

The back: Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar. Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him--despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something. If that weren't enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything--and everyone--she trusts.

Nora Grey's life is in a continuous state of chaos. On the heels of surviving an attempt on her life and falling in love with the dark and dangerous fallen angel, Patch, a little excitement is understandable. Unfortunately for Nora, things are getting even more complicated. Her relationship with Patch is falling apart. Battling her jealously and insecurities, Nora struggles with the reality that her nemesis, Marcie Millar, might have stolen her man. To make matters worse, Nora is having nightmares and seeing visions of her dead father. She becomes obsessed with finding out who murdered her father. Believing she can no longer trust Patch, Nora is feeling betrayed and alone. Along the way, Nora makes some gruesome discoveries in her quest to find her father's killer. The things that Nora finds out about her father are troubling to say the least, and as a result, Nora's life will never be the same.

I held out my hot dog, which had grown cold. "Do you want this?" "No way. You're going to need it. If anything bad happens, just take a bite. Ten seconds later, you'll feel all warm and happy inside." :P

"I lied," I confessed shakily. I swallowed, trying to inject a measure of calm into my voice. "The thing is, I really wanted to ask Scott to the Summer Solstice party at Delphic, but I couldn't bring myself to do it in person. This is really alkward." I walked to the desk and offered him the hotdog along with the scrap of paper I'd scribbled the note on. "'Don't be a wiener,'" Scott read. "'Go to Summer Solstice with me.'" "Well? What do you think?" I tried to hold a smile. "Do you want to be a wiener or not?"

"He's on his way home. Right now." "How much time do I have?" "Since he already flew past here about a hundred miles per hour, I'd guess a minute. Or less." "Vee!" "Don't blame me-you're the who wasn't answering your phone!" "Chase him down and stall for time. I need two more minutes." "Chase him down? How? The Neon has a flat." "With your own two feet!" "You mean excercise?"

"And here I thought they were called Peeping Toms." I didn't need to see him to know he wore a smile. "Stop laughing," I said, my cheeks hot with humiliation. "Get me down." "Jump." "What?" "I'll catch you." "Are you crazy? Go inside and open the window. Or get a ladder." "I don't need a ladder. Jump. I'm not going to drop you." "Oh, sure! Like I believe that!" "You want my help or not?" "You call this help?" I hissed furiously. "This isn't help!" He spun his keychainaround his finger, then started to walk away. "You are such a jerk! Get back here!"
