Confusing and an unsatisfactory ending. Too much focus on some characters and not enough on others.

Very cute ending and it was interesting how the author managed to connect the stories of all of the characters, but overall the plot was pretty dry and some chapters got kind of boring...

As I've said before, I love reading books with different perspectives. This one has 11, guys and girls, which is pretty cool. I thought it was cool how you could put the story together, and know why someone was there or what they were talking about while the person narrating the chapter has no clue. Some good old dramatic irony! Great book! :)

The back: It's Saturday night in Santa Barbara, and school is done for the year. Everyone is going to the same party. Or at least it seems that way. The place is packed. The beer is flowing. Simple right? But for eleven people, the reasons for being there are way more complicated. to confront my ex to hook up (since that's what everyone expects) to make a friend...any friend to numb the pain to finally talk to her to piss off my parents to say goodbye As each character tells his or her stories, they intersect and reconnect, collide and combine in ways that no one saw comming. Tom Leveeb's keen sense of voice and character shines through in his debut novel, in which everything depends on your point of view.

Beckett blinks at me. "You know me?" she says, her voice still quier, and her voice...I want to taste it on my tongue, it's soft and scrathy and a little deeper than I woulda expected. And sexy as hell even though I'm sure she don't mean it to be.
