Summary
Add a SummaryCenturies ago it was decided that all criminals were to be sealed into a prison that would help them to create the perfect paradise. They were gathered and along with the wisest teachers they entered Incarceron. However, paradise was never reached...Incarceron was sentient and it was always watching its inmates, as they fought, as they stole, as they killed each other. Finn, doesn't know how he came to be in Incarceron. His first member was waking up in a cell deep in Incarceron three years ago. He was initiated into a group of thieves and has been revered as their "star-seer." But Finn knows he came from the outside and that he needs to get back and when he finds a key he knows it is time to escape. Claudia is the daughter of the warden of Incarernon. As such she knows what is expected of her. She is to behave, follow her lessons and eventually marry the crown prince and become queen. Her wedding day is almost upon her and Claudia is desperate to escape her fate when she discovers a key locked in her father's office.

Add a CommentA good story-but if you want something really good, I suggest the Seven Realms series.
This was a slow at the beginning, but it's an interesting concept and I'm glad I kept going with it. It gets a little confusing at times, but if you don't over think it, it's enjoyable.
Definetly a hard book to get into. Gets better about halfway through. Not the best book ever!
Really, REALLY good read...I have a feeling they'll screw up the movie, though...
I bought this book a few months ago, and honestly, I just couldn't get into it. It has a good story, but it's just so boring. Maybe I'll try and read it again later.
I honestly did not get this book, it had a strange beginning but maybe i will try gain later ;)
I can hardly wait to read the sequel. Just like Anne McCaffrey with her Pern series, Ms Fisher created a world I want to revisit again and again. I hope this will turn out to be a trilogy at the very least.
Just ordered the book, however just wanted to let fans know it is being made into a movie. Taylor Lautner will play Finn and Maria Garcias will play Claudia, it comes out 2013!
awsome book, really unpredictable and interesting plot line, definately a good read for anyone who likes twisting plot ; )
The first half of the book was pretty slow. But once it started to pick up I was hooked. It's got a lot of imagination. Worth reading. I'll probably check out the sequel too. I love how they described the prison. =]
