This is a really beautiful book, wonderfully written. I could not stop reading.

An author new to me: I put in a request after seeing reader reviews of the book on this site (yay! OPL). Takes its time getting started, and a coincidence central to the plot is a bit far-fetched, but the characters are real and true, and it's a story where (with one exception) I didn't know where it was going. Putting in requests for her other books now. For me, one of the best possible recommendations: it's a good read!

this wasn't AP's best, but it did have an interesting twist

Another captivating novel by Ann Patchett. This one was slower for me to warm to, with underdeveloped characters leaving you wanting more... but in the end, capturing the heartbreak and deep heartfelt love that comes with loving and losing family.

Engaging story with great character development. The final chapter was not what I expected. Beautiful story, although somewhat unsettling.
